Wishing for/hoping for…
If you had a magic wand and could change anything in your life, what would you change without moving a finger (I mean, outside of the hang shaking the magic wand!)?
Now, it’s something to “want to change it” or “wishing it can change” or “hoping it can change”.
Hoping and wishing and wanting are very cute actually!
Being full of hope is a nice thing!!
But… It’s not taking you anywhere! 🙂
So, of course, nothing’s wrong with those but if you actually DO want something to change in your life, you’re going to need a little more than this…!
Let’s talk about this!!
Being committed and determined!
So, the very first step is to know what you want to change, what you want to be different.
Then, the next step can be to want or hope for.
This step doesn’t have to last too much!!
The one that HAS to be there right after is the one of being COMMITTED or/and DETERMINED.
What do I mean by that?!
Let’s see what Google says about both of them:
Definition of being determined: “having made a firm decision and being resolved not to change it.”
Definition of being committed: “be dedicated to (something).”
So, let’s say that a mix of both is great!!
You want to have made a firm decision to get after what you want UNTIL you get it and at the same time, you are DEDICATED to get it.
It’s a no-brainer-the-decision-has-been-made kind of thing!
What does it entail?
To take action (while having fun of course!), until you get what you want.
Also, it means including the hard times, the doubt, the fails, everything AND still, going for it!!
It’s about keeping on going and NEVER GIVE UP! 🙂
Hoping, wishing keeps you in a safe place. It’s “nice” to hope for something!!
I hope for many things but I’m committed and determined to maybe only 3-4 things!!
While having fun, of course!!
And as a fun and confidence coach, I have to say that you can get anything that you want, you’re going to face challenges (because that’s just a part of it and it’s better to expect them so they won’t stop you!!) AND…
You can have A TONE of fun too!!
This is a great question to ask yourself: How can you go after what you really want to change, how can you change your life AND have fun doing it?
How is it not as complicated as you think it is AND you can still get it?!
People make goals sound very serious etc., what if it’s not?! 🙂
It’s always who you become!!
I looove the idea that goals are not really about the thing that you achieve, the change in your life that it brings.
I believe it’s more about the PERSON YOU BECOME!
You uplift your thinking, you believe new things, you develop amazing skills (willing to feel any emotion, willingness to fail…) AND you committed to something until you get it, imagine that person!!
Hoping and wishing for keep you sooo safe.
It doesn’t stretch you, you still wake up with the same life (which of course, is totally fine!) but it goes with the idea of: How much do you like your current life on a scale of 1 to 10?
If you answer a solid 7 even 8 I want first to say: Good for you for appreciating it! 🙂
And then… What if you think it’s a 7 and… It’s just a 3? What if you can live an EXTRAORDINARY and UNCOMPLICATED life?!
