Who we are. PersonalDevelopmentZone (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website personal-development-zone.com (the “Website”) and provides coaching services and related content. We wrote this policy for a global audience. Depending on where you live, your local laws may give you additional rights; those are summarized below under “Regional Rights.”

1) Who this site is for & children’s privacy

Our Website and services are intended for adults (18+) and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us so we can delete it. Where local law sets a specific age for online consent (for example, between 13 and 16 in the EEA/UK), we comply with those rules.

2) What we collect

We collect the following categories of data:

  • Transaction & Subscription data: purchase history and subscription status. We use Stripe for payment processing; we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

  • Coaching interactions: information you choose to share for scheduling, group placement (English or ASL), and participation in group coaching calls.

  • Device/usage data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar analytics events (via Google Analytics).

  • Affiliate interactions: when you click an Amazon book link, Amazon may collect data per their own privacy notice. We display the required affiliate disclosure (see Section 7).

3) Why we use your data

We use personal data to:

  • Provide coaching services, manage your membership subscription, process orders, and communicate with you.

  • Place you in the correct coaching group (English or ASL) based on your preference.

  • Send coaching tips, updates, and offers when you opt in; you can unsubscribe anytime.

  • Operate, secure, and improve our Website and coaching platforms.

  • Comply with legal obligations (tax, accounting, regulatory requests).

For EEA/UK users, each processing activity relies on a lawful basis under GDPR/UK GDPR (consent, contract, legal obligation, or legitimate interests).

4) How long we keep data

We keep data only as long as needed for the purpose collected, including to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. Typical examples: invoices and transaction records up to 7 years; coaching correspondence up to 2 years after membership ends unless needed longer; cookie lifetimes vary.

We don’t sell your data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that help us run our services (hosting, email delivery, WhatsApp for coaching, Zoom/Google Meet for calls, and Stripe for payment processing).

  • Authorities when required by law, to protect rights/safety, or in business transfers.

We require processors to protect your data and use it only under our instructions.

6) Cookies, analytics & your choices

  • We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work and, with your consent where required, to understand traffic via Google Analytics 4.

  • In the EEA/UK, non-essential cookies (including analytics) are not set until you consent. You can withdraw consent anytime via our cookie banner/settings.

  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

  • We do not run advertising networks on the Website. If we ever introduce ads, this policy and the cookie banner will be updated first.
