PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy Policy — Personal-Development-Zone.com

Effective date: August 26, 2025

Who we are. PersonalDevelopmentZone (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website personal-development-zone.com (the “Website”) and provides coaching services and related content. We are the data controller for personal data we collect via the Website and our services. You can contact us at tamara@personal-development-zone.com.

We wrote this policy for a global audience. Depending on where you live, your local laws may give you additional rights; those are summarized below under “Regional Rights.”

By using the Website, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

1) Who this site is for & children’s privacy

Our Website and services are intended for adults (18+) and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us so we can delete it. Where local law sets a specific age for online consent (for example, between 13 and 16 in the EEA/UK), we comply with those rules.

2) What we collect

We collect the following categories of data:

  • Identifiers & contact details: name, email address, phone number, billing or mailing address.

  • Transaction data: purchase history (we do not store full payment card numbers; payments are processed by third-party processors).

  • Communications: messages you send us (email, forms), comments you post.

  • Coaching interactions: information you choose to share for scheduling/coaching.

  • Device/usage data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar analytics events (via Google Analytics).

  • Affiliate interactions: when you click an Amazon book link, Amazon may collect data per their own privacy notice. We display the required affiliate disclosure (see Section 7).

Sources: You provide most information directly. We also use automatic collection (cookies/analytics—see Section 6).

3) Why we use your data

We use personal data to:

  • Provide services & customer support, process orders, and communicate with you.

  • Send coaching tips, updates, and offers when you opt in; you can unsubscribe anytime.

  • Operate, secure, and improve our Website.

  • Comply with legal obligations (tax, accounting, regulatory requests).

For EEA/UK users, each processing activity relies on a lawful basis under GDPR/UK GDPR (consent, contract, legal obligation, or legitimate interests).

4) How long we keep data

We keep data only as long as needed for the purpose collected, including to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. Typical examples: invoices and transaction records up to 7 years; routine correspondence up to 2 years unless needed longer; cookie lifetimes vary.

5) Who we share data with

We don’t sell your data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that help us run the Website and services (hosting, email delivery, scheduling, analytics, payment processing).

  • Affiliates/partners solely when needed to fulfill your request (for example, Amazon affiliate links).

  • Authorities when required by law, to protect rights/safety, or in business transfers.

We require processors to protect your data and use it only under our instructions.

6) Cookies, analytics & your choices

  • We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work and, with your consent where required, to understand traffic via Google Analytics 4.

  • In the EEA/UK, non-essential cookies (including analytics) are not set until you consent. You can withdraw consent anytime via our cookie banner/settings.

  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

  • We do not run advertising networks on the Website. If we ever introduce ads, this policy and the cookie banner will be updated first.

7) Affiliate disclosure (Amazon)

We participate in the Amazon Associates program. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon may set cookies or collect data when you follow our book links; please review Amazon’s privacy practices for details.

8) International data transfers

When we transfer personal data internationally (for example, to service providers located in other countries), we use legally recognized safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, participation by providers in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

9) Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect personal data. No method is 100% secure. For payments, we rely on compliant third-party processors; we do not store full card data on our servers.

10) Your choices

  • Email marketing: Unsubscribe anytime using the link in emails or by writing to us.

  • Access, correction, deletion, portability: See Regional Rights below.

  • Cookies/analytics: Update your preferences via the cookie banner/settings.
