Feeling a bit STUCK or LOST and not sure where to go from there?!
It doesn’t have to be like this!!
Let’s get you OUT of this! And let’s do it NOW!!
You… have got to stop telling yourself this!
No matter your circumstances and I heard it on a podcast a few months ago and it’s such a great point…
The very first step can sound a bit harsh but… It’s to STOP telling yourself this!
You are not responsible for what you’re thinking at first but you have much more control over believing these thoughts to be true or not!!
When you think “I’m stuck”, remind yourself: “Ah yesss, it happens! It’s my brain that wants to keep me safe!!” and STOP thinking over and over again that you are indeed stuck…
This is the very first step, to STOP telling yourself this kind of sentence.
It’s time to stop the pity party (and trust me, I feel like I was the inventor of this kind of parties so much I used to feel pity for myself!)
Then… It’s about WHO you’re being!
You feel stuck because you don’t know what to do (or you do know but you can’t seem to take that action).
So, the solution doesn’t reside in WHAT you are doing but in WHO you are being in that person.
You believe that you’re lost, that you’re a lost/stuck person.
The solution resides in BEING someone who doesn’t feel stuck and doesn’t feel lost.
So, ask yourself: If you would not feel stuck or lost, what would you be feeling instead?
Is it empowered? Inspired? Creative? What else?
THIS is the emotion you’re going to want to take action from.
When we feel stuck or lost, we are usually in inaction or we may be in action but it’s not going to come from a good place…!
An example!
If you think of the tale of 2 people.
One person is feeling lost and considers a few options for what they want their life to look like…
They aren’t too hopeful and feel low energy.
Of course, nothing’s wrong with feeling this way! But I believe it’s totally fine and necessary to first feel any emotion we may need to feel but then, it is ESSENTIAL to consider the way we’re feeling that drives our actions, this is a fact!!
So, if we go back to our example of the 2 people who feel stuck and lost.
The first one is acting (or nonacting!) from it, we can see what they create for themselves.
If you have that other person who processed lost and stuck and decided now to focus on the emotions of challenge maybe or curious (what life they can live, the whole world of possibilities…), what do you think this second will do? What actions will they take?
How different are they going to show up?
This is a part of using a tool that I absolutely adore and that is called the self-coaching model.
It says that your thoughts create your results (so your life!).
Your thoughts generate emotions and those emotions drive your actions.
As you can see and I can definitely show it to you by using the model: you think that you are lost or feel stuck because of the circumstances of your life.
Actually, you are feeling stuck and lost because of WHAT YOU ARE THINKING.
It can be that simple to get unstuck!
Realizing that it’s simply because you believe something to be true.
I think that this is AMAZING news and much more empowering than needing to change our circumstances to feel unstuck/not lost anymore…
What do you think? 🙂
In summary…
As you can see, if you feel stuck or lost, you now know that you feel this way because of something you’re thinking, something you’re believing to be true, and NOT because of your circumstances.
It means that you can feel UNSTUCK and any empowering emotions WITHOUT having to change your circumstances or anything else in your life.
Best news ever, right?!
