EXCLUSIVE Interview with Brigitte Granger!
Brigitte Granger is the founder of Supporti, the accountability partner app that everybody’s talking about!
Meet Brigitte!
She’s simply AWESOME 🙂
What is Supporti, the app everyone’s talking about?
It’s awesome!
Every day, you take a small action to reach a goal that you set for yourself.
You’re paired with an accountability buddy and you get to check a box when you do that small action!
Easy right? 🙂
Brigitte says:
“Supporti is designed to help those of us who do better when we know someone’s counting on us to follow through on our commitments!
Maybe you’re really good at setting goals, but you aren’t so great at being consistent with them!
Supporti is fantastic because we will pair you up with a buddy for a week at a time, and together, you will check on each other on a daily basis, making sure you’re sticking with it, committing to those little things that add up to your really big things over time!”
How to use Supporti?
Supporti is so easy to use!
Step #1. Download Supporti from the app stores.
Step #2. Add your name + email to get an EXTENDED FREE TRIAL!
Step #3. Set up your profile and goals right in the app.
Step #4. Get matched with your first buddy!
Step #5. Tick every small action you’ve taken today towards that goal! It can be a 10′ action! 🙂
Why having an accountability buddy?
Brigitte says:
“The great thing about having an accountability partner, just someone that you can turn to, is also when it’s hard or when it’s lonely.
Also, it’s amazing to be able to share with someone success and your buddy is also getting motivated by seeing you achieve big things!”
How did Brigitte create this amazing tool?
Brigitte shares:
“It’s really two things that came together.
My background is in health behavior and so many help outcomes are dependant on the things we do every day rather than things we do once in a while.
Eating right, staying hydrated, sleeping well, managing stress, all that stuff is daily basis behaviors!”
Knowing that, she asked herself: How do we help people make healthier decisions all the time?
She asked herself: How do I motivate myself?
Brigitte says:
“In my personal life, I was trying to build some healthy habits, so I had a really amazing accountability partner.
I’m a runner, I needed someone who was going to make sure I got out of bed early and exercised.
Back then, my running buddy was my neighbor, we would commit the night before at what time we were going to meet and I never missed a run!
It was the most consistent I’ve ever been, I was in great running shape.
Then I moved cities and didn’t have a running buddy.
Then, I asked myself: How do I motivate myself?
I kept hitting the snooze button, I kept missing my workouts and I tried a bunch of things, all the habit apps out there, and it would work in the beginning, and then when the reminder went off, then I would hit snooze, ignore it and I just lost the habit.
I also tried running group which is great for running, but not all behaviors have a community!
With groups, it’s easy to justify that someone else will show off or say to yourself “no one will notice that I’m not there”, it’s a real thing!
The more people that are there, the less responsibility that falls on you!”
This is how ticking the boxes look like!
And Supporti was born!
Looking for a solution, Brigitte says:
“The only solution that I saw online was with coaches which is great but I was looking for something mutual and for 1 on 1 daily and low-cost solutions and couldn’t really find that.
This is how I created Supporti!
I created a sign-up form to see if anyone was interested in this and people were!
And this is how I pursue this path.”
I’m so glad she did! 🙂
I absolutely love also how the values of Supporti are shared:
The App is so simple to use, really!
I’ve been using Supporti for a few weeks and I absolutely LOVE how easy it is to use!
I told Brigitte about the fact that is super user-friendly and she shares:
“It’s less about the technology and more about the motivation and the things that you’re doing outside of the app!
You want to keep it simple because what is stopping us from taking action shouldn’t be the technology or the tool you’re using!
Put the chances on your side to have an easy tool to use to track your progress and to reach your goals!”
What about having impossible goals?
I absolutely love the idea of having impossible goals!
I think that we can do whatever we want with our lives and that our only limits are our imagination and our commitment! 🙂
Brigitte agrees and shares:
“I think that it’s great to have a realistic goal but also a goal that makes your eyes go wide and say “OMG! What if one day I achieve this big thing? How big could it get?”
For me, that’s actually a hard thing to do because I’m always “There’s no way, that’s impossible!”
“Big successes came from humble beginnings”
“When you look at the biggest success, the biggest companies, people that came from very humble beginnings and disadvantages and made something huge and had a huge impact, it is possible!
For them, if you’ve told them years ago “this company will be in everyone’s hands”, they might not believe it at the time but somebody had to believe it!
So, ask yourself: “What is the biggest possible impact you could imagine having?”
I think that it’s great to have impossible goals in the back of your mind knowing that “Ok, it’s not going to happen tomorrow, but some people have achieved really big things and so, it can seem impossible right now but it could be possible in the crazy scenario!”
Look at what people have to say about that amazing app! 🙂
How to set goals for yourself?
This is how Brigitte is setting goals for herself:
“I really think about the long game and I try to imagine the feeling.
I do a little bit of visualization and think: “Ok, what if I have a huge office with amazing team members that I would love to work with every day, what does it feel like?”
I can picture it!
Once I pictured that feeling, I try to quantify it.
Such as: “What is the revenue amount that my business needs to be making or how many users do we have to be helping on a daily basis for us to be at that point?”
Then, it’s a matter of breaking it down: How many years will it take me to get there? What is the implementing goal along that way?
A goal can feel out of reach if there is no path to get there.
How is what I’m doing today going to get me to that big goal?
And having those small milestones (that you get through Supporti) are those breadcrumbs that lead you to the very big thing!”
There are no more impossible things to do!
How setting goals is helping in building confidence?
I asked Brigitte and she shares:
“I think believing in yourself and in someone else feeds into your self-confidence because it reminds you that you are competent and that you can do big things and hard things!
I think it’s the hard things that really build our self-confidence.
For me, a great example, I’m a very new skier.
I’m very much a novice, but there is no greater feeling to me than trying something new and getting better at it!
I just feel so confident after I do that thing and even if I didn’t do that good, it’s that I tried something new.
I wasn’t sure how it was going to go and then, I was like “Hey, I didn’t break any legs!” I had a little bit of fun!
Do what scares you!
We agree with this!
Brigitte says:
“I think that we should have those little things that we are a bit scared to do and looking back: “Oh, I achieved that little goal, that really hard thing, let’s look at something else that I can do!”
It’s about picking the thing that is at the right size of discomfort and getting through it and remind yourself that you can do these small and uncomfortable things, let’s look at what else you can do!”
We also shared that it’s not about succeeding in everything you do!
It’s about taking small steps every day, this is where the real success is.
Goal setting is a skill to develop!
Goal setting is a skill to develop, even if you don’t get the result right now.
We need to celebrate every action that you take every day! 🙂
Brigitte specifies:
“So much, we promote the weight loss, the 20 pounds before and after!
But, it’s really the actions we should celebrate, that’s what we try to do in Supporti.
We celebrate the small and daily small steps you took with your buddy because that’s really what makes the difference, the action that we don’t see and don’t celebrate enough.
A great TIP to build your self-confidence?
Of course, I asked Brigitte what’s her biggest tip to build her confidence.
She shares:
“Think about something you’ve done maybe in the past year or the past 5 years that was hard.
You did it! Either you got through it or you did a great job at it.
To me, it’s really skiing.
So, think about something hard, you got through it and you did it.
Maybe, put a post-it note in a place that you’ll see so that you’re consistently reminding yourself that you can do hard things and that you can overcome great challenges!
It could be very little challenges such as killing a spider, it can be little things but if you keep a journal and you see them on a regular basis, I think that it can really boost self-confidence!
We look more at what we want to accomplish but we need to look already at our accomplishments, what we’ve done!
How to use Supporti?
Supporti is so easy to use!

More details about Supporti!
Brigitte gives more details about how Supporti really works! 🙂
She shares:
“The way we do that is first we have you create your profile, so your buddy can get to know you and then set your goals.
It looks like this:
We start with the big goal (starting your business, getting more fit, etc.).
Then we have you define what exactly that will look like, quantify it, write that down into actions.
What are the daily actions that you really need accountability for?
Maybe there are some things that you do every day and you enjoy doing them!
Supporti is great for the things that you are not doing.
For example, people are using the app for checking their budget on a daily basis, looking at their bank account, just staying on top of it. Or maybe for tracking calories for health reasons.
Once you set that daily action, we will match you in 24 hours on average with a buddy and you’ll be paired up for a week at a time.
So, Supporti takes care of finding that perfect buddy because what we heard from a lot of people, it’s hard to find an amazing accountability partner and then to stick with him/her long term!
What we do, we have people commit for 7 days at a time and then after those 7 days, you get a new buddy, you can change your daily action, you can adjust your daily habit, and sign up for new daily action.
That rotation keeps things fresh!
It’s great because it’s getting you to reflect and telling your buddy and saying “This is my goal, this is why it’s important to me” and it’s like recommitting to yourself, it’s like saying it to yourself again!
It’s what I think helps people stay motivated over the long term.
Supporti is really the small steps, it’s virtual and mutual, successes are better when shared and we get as much from motivating someone else as we do as getting their encouragement!
You really get inspired by the other one! By what they’re doing!
Also, we don’t want to disappoint others, we want to make them happy, that’s all part of the Supporti science!
What goals can you reach with Supporti?
I like how they showed what kind of goals you can reach if you use Supporti, your daily boost of motivation!
Enjoy this impossible list!
Why changing a buddy every week?
I was curious and asked Brigitte!
She shares:
“You can change your goal week to week.
People have career goals, health goals, relationship goals…
We want to help people focus and get done things that are hard to do!
People struggle to achieve those goals because they are doing everything at the same time and we want people to focus on the most difficult things, that’s where Supporti can really shine!”
This app is really answering your needs to the question “how to do the impossible”!

How did Brigitte came up with the name “Supporti”?
Brigitte shares:
“4 years ago, I thought of words motivate, etc., what makes Supporti so special is bringing together people, this social support, someone who’s giving you encouragement, advice, resources… Support! That’s the heart of it!
And, I speak a bit of Italian and thought that adding the “i” was cute and nice!
Both of my grandmas were Italian, also, my right side is Italian because I use my right hand when I speak, I studied abroad in Italy a bit, I love it so much!
The people are an example of social support, people are very friendly!”
I definitely agree with this…!
Also, I’m a FAN of the food in Italy! 😉
Anyway, Supporti is definitely a name you’re going to remember! 🙂
And it’s helping you to answer the question “how to do an impossible goal!” 🙂
