Since 2019, like a little soldier!!
I actually started my podcast, the Get Confident, Get Happy Podcast in January 2019.
I did not miss a week!
The content and the intention behind my podcast changed so much over the years, it’s really fascinating if you would start it from episode one today…!
Also, since 2018 so actually before I even started my podcast, my partner and I started to travel and work while traveling.
For people who don’t know it, we used to sell on Amazon FBA our kitchen gadgets!
It was a really interesting experience, building a business from A to Z and selling it from A to Z!
So, we started traveling and working at the same time.
2 weeks ago, I was visiting Switzerland and spending time with friends and family and I’m not sure how that happened but I really forgot to record the episode of the week!!
What happened next??
Beating myself up?!
I usually post my episode on Tuesdays.
On Wednesday, as I did not post any episodes, my brain started offering me these kind of thoughts to think:
- You exagerrated!
- You don’t have any credibility anymore…
- It’s not worth continuing…
- Maybe it’s time to stop after all of these years!!
As you can see, the problem was NOT having missed a week of posting an episode…
The problem was what my brain was making it mean!!
This is the problem, always!
It’s not a circumstance in the world, something that is happening, someone that is saying something to us or doing anything but WHAT WE MAKE IT MEAN!
And this is where our power resides!!
Don’t EVER give up.
I know this sounds very corny and basic to say “Don’t ever give up”, but really, don’t ever give up.
Now you know that it’s never missing doing something one day that is the problem.
You can just start next week, or the week after as I did with this episode!!
The only problem and the true thing that is stopping us from continuing and making us give up is actually WHAT WE MAKE IT MEAN, always!
In summary…
So think about it… What is something that you want to be different in your life and you’ve been trying very hard but you’re not getting the success you wish you would…?
What are you making the fails mean to you?
For example, I could think and believe the thoughts that I shared before and that could stop me from releasing an episode every week from now on…
Or I don’t have to make it mean anything outside of the fact that it gave 2 weeks off for my listeners…!!
Who doesn’t like vacation, even from a podcast you absolutely love? 😉
