When you’re getting used to something, you’re feeling more and more confident.
Let me show you how you do this without even knowing it!
Paying attention to it will triple your confidence.
Let’s dive right in!
What is this “getting used to it”?
What I want to say by this is all the habits or new behaviors that we are doing and at the start, it was quite hard and new and now, it’s just part of our lives and there’s no novelty about it!
We can manage them!
Let’s take the example of eating less at night.
At first, it was quite new, I still wanted to eat big meals and felt like I was missing out on big dinners, etc.!
But after a while, I did not even think of eating at night, it was part of my routine, of my habits and I completely forgot how it was to eat at night!
Or maybe when you start a new job.
At first, everything is new and exciting and after a while, we get used to the things we have to do, to our colleagues and that’s something fascinating and very useful when it comes to building self-confidence!
It wasn’t easy at the start!
The thing is that we aren’t paying enough attention to the things we are doing with ease.
Just cooking dinner, for example, we take it for granted that we are able to make something that will fulfill an important human need (eating!).
But when we first started, it wasn’t that easy and obvious at all!
We had to try things and fail many times!
And we tend to forget how we all started, even just walking when you think about it!
We fell many times and actually, we never gave up!
Nobody gave up on us neither!
Everybody believed we could walk and… They were right! 🙂
The problem: We don’t give us chances anymore.
The biggest issue here is that today, we are so afraid of taking action because we don’t believe we will succeed at what we are trying to do!
So, we don’t even give ourselves a chance to try!
But we tend to forget that after a bit of time, we’re getting used to it! We’re getting better at it! That it’s rolling!
For example, we don’t want to start learning a new language because we know that at the start, it may be frustrating!
Not understanding what you’re hearing and reading!
The thing is, we would get used to it, but if we don’t give ourselves a chance, there’s no way we can get ourselves used to it! 🙂
You totally get used to it!
When you actually do something new (even going for a walk 15′ per day, drinking more water), you are slowly slowy getting used to it.
Soon enough, it will become something you’re usually doing and you will forget how it was at the start!
Just think of things you once started and how you feel towards them.
You don’t even think of them! You totally got used to them!
And this is the beauty in that concept!
That even if things seem hard at first, we, human beings, get used to everything.
It becomes less hard and more automatic. It’s GREAT NEWS!
Because it means that you can start ANYTHING that you want!
You’ll get used to what you’re doing, you’ll get better at it if you want to! But you don’t have to be afraid of taking that first action!
The worst that can happen is an emotion!

Getting used to something = building your self-confidence!
When you take that first action and you get used to something, you are building your self-confidence.
Because you are showing to yourself that you can do this, you are giving to yourself the chance to succeed at what you’re doing!
Knowing ahead of time that we, human beings, get used to everything is something that can be very empowering!
Because you then realize that you can do whatever you want!
You’ll get used to and get better at what you’re doing! So, you can definitely trust yourself!
And this my friends, is an amazing boost for your confidence!
To sum up!
As you can see, no matter what we are starting, we are getting used to doing it.
Without even paying attention! We are almost doing those things on auto-pilot.
Take the time to realize how much these things were new at the start and how much you got used to them!
It’s AMAZING NEWS! Because it shows you how much we may struggle at starting something and how much it becomes effortless!
You then realize how much you can trust yourself, you can do this, even if it’s not always a success at first!
Taking that first action, that first step is for sure a HUGE boost for anyone’s self-confidence.
