What You Will Learn...
What we are thinking…
No matter what’s in your life at this exact moment:
- Your relationships,
- Your job
- What you do during the day
- What you do on the days you don’t work
- Where you go on Holidays
All of this started in your MIND, in what you are thinking.
All of those are the results of what you are THINKING.
For example, think of a friend that you have.
You still are a part of this relationship because of thoughts you are thinking (consciously or unconsciously!) such as:
- I want to spend time with that person.
- This person is funny!
- I like myself around this person!
- I feel good around this person!
- We share so much them and me!
These are just a few examples! 🙂
This is really to show you how much what you are THINKING is impacting everything in your life.
So, I wouldn’t say “you are what you eat” but more “you are what you THINK!”.
How that could be true for you? Think about it for a second! 🙂
Is it a good thing or a bad thing?!
It’s so funny because each time I discuss this with my clients, there is always a mix of emotions at that moment!
One half of that is that we realize that if our thoughts create everything in our life, what we DON’T like is also created by our mind?! And we might use it to beat ourselves up for choices we made or something that happened and we feel responsible for it!
On the other half, we realize how much POWER we have over our life!!
If everything we have (our relationships, our job…) is based on what we are thinking, if we want any tiny change in that, we “JUST” have to look at what we are thinking!!
Easy peasy it is not let’s agree on that!
But it’s very empowering to consider that if we want something different, we can have it!! And it’s 1000% possible and it will come from us so we don’t depend on anything or anyone else in the world!
That’s quite freeing I think! 🙂
Use it to feel more confident!
As I always say, we can use challenges/fails/anything actually to beat ourselves up, to blame ourselves or to love ourselves more.
So, the moment you realize and you really think about the fact that your thoughts create your reality, no matter what you find yourself thinking (ohhh myyy!! Or what did I do?? Whyyy??), use whatever you’re going to think as a way to love yourself more, find compassion and curiosity at that moment.
Tell yourself “Oh, it’s just a discovery I made. I can do something about it if I want to, only if I want to! I don’t have to change anything I’m thinking if I don’t want to!”, this makes you find more compassion in that situation.
Don’t use this to beat yourself up.
We never know what we don’t know until we know!!
And tell yourself also “Ohhhh, I had this result in my life because of something I was thinking, what was I thinking, I’m curious? It’s okay!! It was always supposed to go that way because this is how it went!! Let’s look forward now!” 🙂
Do that with other people!!
And this is the center of this episode…!
When you look at what you have in your life and discover that it’s all been created from what you have been thinking, use this amazing new ability to do the same with other people!!
Why?! So then, you have so much compassion for everyone around you!
Ask yourself, no matter the situation: What have they been thinking that makes them have this life?
This job? These relationships? This weight? The amount of sport they do?
Of course, the way we look (shape of our face, height…) isn’t always depending on what we think but I would say, 95% is for sure!!
Think about this for anyone that is around you right now.
Choose one area (their job) and understand that what they have been thinking brought them to where they are right here right now.
That’s crazy to realize right?! I find it so interesting!!
And I use this ability often to find more understanding, more compassion for others.
We often judge, criticize, and think that people can do better than that, but I truly believe that people do their best, always, even if it does not look like this at all…!
Interesting, right? 🙂
And of course, use it for yourself too!! Have compassion for what you’ve been thinking that got you where you are today!
It all went exactly the way it was supposed to!
Why think anything else than that? It has no upsides! 🙂
